Summary Of Actions At USDF Executive Board Conference Call On August 17, 2005

The following participated in the conference call: 10 Executive Board members, Executive Director Stephan Hienzsch, and several USDF office staff members.


Sandi Bishop made a motion, seconded by Kat Kyle, to hold the 2007 annual convention in Orlando, FL.  Motion carried.  The hotel chosen is the Disney Coronado Springs Resort with a special rate of $122/ night.  The 2007 convention will be held without a National Symposium.

Fern Feldman made a motion, seconded by Kat Kyle, to begin the open portion of the 2007 annual convention on Thursday morning and end it on Saturday evening.  Motion carried.  The convention (excluding the symposium portion) will be three days long from 2005 to 2007. A symposium will not be held in 2007.
 
Janine Malone made a motion, seconded by Sandi Bishop, to approve the nomination of the Historical Committee to induct Seldom Seen into the USDF Hall of Fame.  Motion carried.

Sue Hughes made a motion, seconded by Kat Kyle, to approve the nomination of the Historical Committee of Colonel Clarence Edmonds for a USDF Lifetime Achievement Award.  Motion carried.

Gaye McCabe made a motion, seconded by Sandi Bishop, to appoint the following people to a Working Group to develop a Young Horse Training Program: Jayne Ayers, Lendon Gray, Anne Gribbons, Scott Hassler, Janine Malone, Cindy Sydnor, and Cindy Vimont.  Motion carried.

Kat Kyle made a motion, seconded by Sue Hughes, to post the actions of Executive Board conference calls on the USDF web site.  Motion carried.
